A Layer Cake is another type of pre-cut fabric which comes in packs of around 40 x 10” x 10” fabric squares. They are essentially larger versions of the popular charm packs. Most layer cake packs will come with 40 squares, but the number can easily vary depending on the brand. You can acquire quilting patterns for each square, or a pattern that requires each 10” piece to be used in combination with other pre-cut fabrics.
